Communication ability is a key criterion for
recruitment in many profiles across industries. Some profiles like those for
Call Centers, Hospitality, Sales and Service, Education and Training require
candidate to be excellent in communication skills, specially spoken English. To
evaluate a candidate's spoken English capabilities, Aspiring Minds has
developed and SVAR.
SVAR is a Aspiring Minds patented automated spoken English assessment tool. it evaluates
the pronunciation, fluency, Intonation, grammar, listening & language
anticipation skills, spoken English
understanding, Extempore Skills of the candidate and, the tool provides a
comprehensive evaluation.The test uses a combination of reading and speaking
sentences, listening and repeating sentences and words, listening comprehension
passages and free speech to evaluate the candidate. it is used across
the world by large global corporations to test and rate spoken English
capabilities.
It is a telephonic test.

are 6 sections
Section: A
They’ll send you 12 sentences via email
in prior which you need to recite at the time of your phone call. After each
beep you need to speak fast and with proper pronunciation within a span of
merely 5 seconds.

Section: B
In this section, you will hear automated voice on the phone will recite ten sentences. You need to repeat the sentence you hear. one after the another. Not simultaneously
Listen carefully. You will only get one chance to hear a sentence.If you listen attentively, you can deliver the same well

In this section, you will hear a conversation followed by a set of questions based on it.
Scribble the points first. In my case, it was a conversation between a lady and a customer service regarding wrong shopping order. Some got a conversation between a customer and travelling agency
Section: D
In this section, you will hear Multiple choice questions
followed by its options. Answer as per the instructions given.
Section: E
In this section, you will hear hear sentences which might have a
grammatical error. It will be followed by four options each being a part of the
sentence itself. Identify the part which contains an error.
Section: F
In this section, you will be given a topic and 30sec for
thinking. You have to talk about it for max 45secs.

2. Closed room, with no disturbance.
3. Use headphones with good sound, or put loudspeakers.
4. Vigilant ear, because the only key to cracking this is attention.
5. Note down Your AMCAT ID, PARSE KEY (given to you by your test centre), SVAR ID, TEST ID in a notepad.You need to type these on your mobile’s keypad for verification.
